Did the hotpot for the first time. Excellent food and service. Would have eaten twice the cabbage we got and twice the dumplings. I ruined a shirt but it was well worth it.

I arrived just a few before opening time and by then a line was already forming. I think I was the fifth group in the line. The waiter allowed some to enter and then asked if anyone had reservations due to limited seating. No one spoke up so he seated the rest of us. He was fair in how he handled the orders once we were seated, and asked in order of who entered first.
I had their cascade petit for €38 and it came with 4 tiers. We were able to customize each layer and we chose steamed buns for the top layer, pork intestines for the second, grilled meat for the third, and this sour vegetable and fish broth for the last. We grilled our own meat and ordered some additional hot pot items for the last layer. The soup is actually tasty but gets tiring when you have a large amount of it. It also wasn't the best choice if you were thinking of using it for hot pot. Overall, this was interesting and I enjoyed my meal. -

THIS HOT POT IS SO CLUCKING GOOD YOU GUYS. I didn't expect anything like this at all when I came to Paris and it was my best meal here for sure. For English speakers, you may have a little bit of trouble communicating but the staff really makes an effort and it was appreciated. We got the petite beef non spicy hot pot (48€) cause I'm weak and can't handle next level spicy. It also came with two buns, a pork rib and potato dish, and marinated beef for us to cook on the flat surface of the hot pot. This comes in this tower of delicious amazingness with each level getting bigger as you go down. The beef in the soup was my favorite part! The beef was so flavorful and tender and the soup tasted like God dipped his pinky finger in it. Like it was perfect, you didn't have to add anything to it, it was so flavorful. I couldn't take enough pictures because I couldn't stop eating. It was seriously the best and well worth the funds.

Expect good food but also a long long wait.
The food is really really good but also really really spicy. (You get to choose the type of food you want, we went for the spiciest just to have a little taste of the real Chungking city in China)
If you want to eat actual Chinese food, then this is the place.
The only problem is the wait, even if you call in advance, you'll have to wait; and even after you're seated, you'll have to wait for the food. The place is super super crowded, and super busy. The waiters are patient although they can't keep track of things and forget you orders (Just remind them, they're nice).
It's not a good place for groups since it's really small. Go with ONE other person to better enjoy the dinner! -
